08.45AM Booting up Starcraft, and what do we have? Another patch! I'm still on for a 9.00AM kick off. I wonder who else is playing at this time of day? Germans? Dutch? Ukrainians? Lets find out...
10.18AM 3 games down, and 3 wins!!! And unbeknownst to me, season 2 hadn't officially started until now, which was weird. I've been put in a new division, and had to play a placement match as my first game.
Game 1: Tinners (Terran) vs Andy (Terran)
Andy here went with mass marine, which didn't fare particularly well against my marines, marauders and siege tanks. He went for the old flying his base to the other side of the map tactic but I soon found him and destroyed him. A good start!
Game 2: Tinners (Terran) vs Robiwann (Protoss)
Fun game here on the new map, Tal'darim Altar. Robiwann set up about 20 cannons inside his base, i'm really not sure why as when i turned up with just marines and marauders they dissappeared in seconds. He did manage to keep me at bay by using cloaked dark templars, so i had to regroup and come back with a raven.
Game 3: Tinners (Terran) vs Televinken (Terran)
Televinken sounds Dutch. He played like a total boss, constantly harassing me with cloaked banshees, and he had complete map control. Somehow I managed to pull this one out of the bag though. I think his mistake was that he never really went for my main with any force. Also he invested a lot of money in high tech units like Battlecruisers. My economy was horrible, I was constantly running out of gas and had far too many minerals. Still, a wins a win.
